    P0051 - weblink?

    for you guru's out there!!!

i've read through another thread i made i am recieving this error code, and i'm wanting to know as wooders sensors seem to be $$$$$$ same as rock auto sensors, i would like to double check please that this sensor is the correct one to be purchasing?? - if not i can call wooders and ask directly ?

    all research tells me that

    P0051 - Bank 2 - Sensor 1
(driver side) - (between CAT & engine)

could some one confirm before i spend $200 odd on the incorrect / correct sensor please ??

    Si!!!

I had a look at these a little while ago for someone else. They did seem to be rather expensive at Wooders.

It was also noted to use the OE sensors, (I think they are either ACDELCO or NTK from memory), as the warm up time was much quicker and less likely to through a code as some of the others do warm up slower causing the computer to not like it very much.

The NTK are probably the most expensive at Rockauto, but still it's 2 fro the price of 1 compared to other supliers.

The ones on the early WJ/WG are Denso sensors Upstream is part number 2344634, Downstream is part number 2344078. I bought both from rockauto last year for about $80.00 with $30 fedex all up it was just under $110US. I changed both as part of a service around the 200000km mark. They directly fitted an worked fine.

When you say "early" what year range? For the WJ or the WG?

1999-2001 range with two sensors. I think the later models went to 4 sensors ?? mine is 2000 and I pulled the original sensor to see if I could find the manuf and it was denso cause the genuines were very expensive even in the US

My 2000 WJ used 4 sensors (california spec) and they were all denso, replaced with denso from rockauto.I think all export model V8s used 4 sensors.
I used to be indecisive but now Im not so sure!!!

so as mine is the 2002 V8, would that mean I need the denso? Am I probably best off taking the car off the road for a day and pulling out the sensor and replacing with the same part #? To be sure?
being married with a new born bubby I'm not after buying 2--4 incorrect sensors if I can be sure the first time hahahaha!!!
