For my 0.02 - The only reason to buy a Jeep is because they’re a great balance between on and off road ability. In terms of quality, cost of ownership, and dealership support they are near the bottom of the barrel in my experience (my family owned three Jeeps over 17 years between 1999 and 2019, so I think we’ve had a decent sample of Jeep ownership).
I would strongly discourage anybody from buying a Jeep if you have no intent of taking it off road. There are plenty of other vehicles that will trounce it in every way as a DD. |

Keep in mind that not all dealers are the same.
What might have once been a great dealership that resolved every service issue may overnight be the place to avoid. It depends who took them over and it happens to other makes as well. There are good service departments out there that will look after your future Jeep, just like there are good local independent mechanics. Good luck with your search. |
