For my 0.02 - The only reason to buy a Jeep is because they’re a great balance between on and off road ability. In terms of quality, cost of ownership, and dealership support they are near the bottom of the barrel in my experience (my family owned three Jeeps over 17 years between 1999 and 2019, so I think we’ve had a decent sample of Jeep ownership).
I would strongly discourage anybody from buying a Jeep if you have no intent of taking it off road. There are plenty of other vehicles that will trounce it in every way as a DD.
