    Powersteering reservoir overflowing

Got another question for the bunch. My power steering res keeps overflowing, I have told jeep a fee times now but always get back it's normal. You turn the car on from cold and the fluid is going nuts in the res and then after a short drive there is residue all around the bottle. Does this happen to all jk?

I've got the same thing going on. Both our vehicles are MY13s. The levels seem to be ok, the cap is on tight, yet somehow the reservoir always gets coated. Haven't bothered with the dealer yet as I would expect the same response as yours.

If by "overflowing" you mean there is a oil stain around the top of the reservoir and cap then that seems to be "normal". If it wasn't for the dust that tends to stick to it you probably wouldn't notice it...... but it does so you do

On the other hand if its loosing fluid to the extent of having to top it up - that's not normal.
It seemed like a good idea at the time........
