egr cooler

Hi, Having similar problem in a 2006 jeep gc of leaking coolant round top of motor have had it pulled apart and needs new egr cooler but none available from jeep and was told on backorder in the states anyone now of any suppliers of this part.

Engine is a Mercedes-Benz OM642, go to a Merc dealer & see if they have one.

Never heard of a cooler failing! Most likely the orange cooler seals or manifold joint "O"ring seal.

Try Jeeep Recyclers at Hervey Bay. They sent one to me by mistake,wrong part, which I returned to them on 18th March.
