    Fuel tank capacity

    Hi there!

There seems to be some differences between the glossy sales booklet and the owners manual in regards to the fuel tank capacity for all models of the JK.

    Sales booklet
    2/4 door 3.8L V6 ~ 70.4Lts
    2/4 door 2.8L L4 ~ 66.6/79.5Lts

    Ownwers manual
    2 door V6/L4 ~ 70Lts
    4 door V6/L4 ~ 85Lts

So does any one know for sure which is correct? I can't check out myself as I don't pick mine up till latter next week. I would tend to believe the owners manual and hope it is the case as i'd rather 85Ltr tank to 70Ltr anyday!

Owners Manual tells you that Petrol/Diesel door is 70 Ltr which I believe is right, filled up 67Ltr's on my 2 Door CRD Computer indicated that I could still drive 26 km to empty.

Was about to say 85L sounds like an awful lot in an American car.....
I know I left it here somewhere....

Well so it seems the hand book may be the one to believe. And well not all jeeps have had barely enough fuel tanks, the CJ10/J10 had a 76Ltr main tank and an aux 60Ltr.

Well guess I will just have to wait and try it out myself when I get mine latter next week... but I certainly hope it is 85Ltr.
