    Tension Pulley Replacement

The wheel fell of the tension pulley of my CRD JK yesterday:

Turned out the bearing failed and the wheel just span off.
While I've been able to get a replacement wheel and bearing I'm not too confident about the spring arm itself:

It's a little subtle, but see how the gap is bigger on the left than the right. I'm wondering if this is what caused the bearing to fail in the first place. In any event I'd prefer to replace the whole arm but what Jeep are asking for the part should be criminal! Does anyone know where I could get the part at a reasonable price, or even if I need to replace the current one?

I have tried "Car Parts Plus" on O'Sutherlands Beach Road, Sprints Auto, Repco and Autobarn all to no avail. No one even seems to be able to find the part number on there system.
I also came across this thread from a few years ago asking about the exact same thing but unfortunately no solutions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Slarti.

And how much did Jeep ask for the tensioner?
It's export, so none will be available from the US. Try CJD dealership in the UK or any VM distributer there. It would be the cheapest bet.
And here is another thread with aftermarket solution: http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...8&postcount=19

Email George at VM Specialist UK, just Google them for the contact details. Very cost effective

I bought all my timing belt kit from them and it was delivered to my door for about 1/3 the cost Jeep wanted.

          Okay, I'm finally getting somewhere.
After enough searching I finally came across this very useful diagram:

It's from Factory Chrysler Parts and the part I'm after is part "6" (TENSIONER. Belt. .) which has part numbers "68027611AA" and "68027611AB".
Factory Chrysler Parts only charge $160 for the part but charge $75 shipping (which isn't too bad) but a quick scout on eBay for the part number returned this for $167 with free international shipping.

Only a few parts for export JK aka CRD can be ordered from the US. I only managed to get turbo hoses cheap and a starter motor. They are not allowed by CJD to order spares for export. Check with them first by email.

I'm not exactly sure. The local Jeep parts guy here in Adelaide is utterly hopeless. I asked the price of just the pulley wheel itself (68027603AA):

and he said it would cost $551.
Not sure if that included the whole arm and spring as well but I said I was only after the price for the wheel part.

                95,000 km-ish
                It's a 2007 JKU which I bought from about 1.5 years ago.
