So I'm not sure sure now. I have to do some research.
I run twin electric fans in mine in a dual speed auto/manual configuration.
If you want the circuit for this let me know...

BUT don't do this to correct a fault!!!!

I suppose there is no easy way to measure it...

Is there any noticeable power gains by removing the stock clutch fan, JJ?

The good news is I've fixed the overheating issues.

Yes please, I would like to get the circuit. It's been a while since I built one. It should be fun

I did notice the change but to be honest it was with my old OBD1 engine which was down on compression compared to my OBD2 engine.
There is a difference in response and I have gottent the best economy since the change although I'm not suggesting that this is the reason but it will contribute to it.
I mainly like the option to kill the fans for water crossings and to force the fans to high speed for towing or offroad....

              Here you go...

I replaced the original fan bracket with one from a Zg that meant I didn't need to cut the bracket like normal....

Yerr turning the fans off for water crossings that is a good idea. I guess as for power gains its a bit like the TB spacer, only incremental on its own but when added to four of five other minor changes it can make a reasonable difference.

The clutch fan stops in water, I've had mine in a creek waiting for the winch for 10 min, water over my driver seat. Water filling the tail pipe was the biggest issue. Requires a clear out with rpm. No issue.
