Happy happy happy.
Virtually all smoke gone, none at idle only if you give it a footful. Fuel consumption gone from 15.5 down 11ish.
And I feels heaps better, foot not as far down on accelerator.
Did I say I was happy.

If you don't mind me asking ,how much labour was charged to replace the injectors.
Did you bite the bullet and replace all the injectors or just recondition them -and what KLMS was this needed - .

Thanks Ben - Ive done a couple of WJ's so the labour is probably reasonable ,depending on how hard the injectors were to remove -did they drop the engine or cut a hole in the top firewall shroud ,near the wipers ? Unfortunately , cost of repairing the Mercedes powered Jeeps is often more than they are worth .I have a 2.7 CRD Larado in my shed with just a cracked head ,but also needed a couple of injectors ,engine mounts ect - parts bill in more than I bought the car for , so now my donor .Great engines when they are going well , and the same engine in Mercedes Sprinter vans in Europe often do over 500,000klm ,but here in Aust the same engine in a Jeep rarely makes it to 300K

Sorry again for late reply. Not getting notifications for some reason. Was already a hole in bulkhead so they used that. No.5 was really bad with the death. Anyway no smoke at idle or cruise, just if your up it. It will do me.
